Career Cruising Network is an online program that utilizes information from local employers and professionals as an integral part of career exploration resources available to students. Our goal is to engage and inspire productive career planning by helping students learn about companies and careers in their own community.
Please note that only regional business can sign up--in the Quad Cities on the Mississippi River near Moline IL and Davenport IA.
For more information about Work-Based Learning Activities, go to www.TheTalentLink.org. You will find resources to help you develop programs.
A Company Profile in Career Cruising Network gives students access to important information such as your location(s), website, history, career opportunities, and other company details. You can also include a link to a HR/Career webpage and feature up to six company videos. By creating a Company Profile, you are not only providing students with great career information, but also getting your company’s name out and sparking interest in the future leaders of tomorrow!
A Career Coach is an online career mentor who answers students' questions for the CC-Network career discussion board. Answering questions will provide valuable insight about what it takes to work in your field and helps them understand what really goes on in their careers of interest!
Work-based Learning Activities engage students in learning activities outside of the classroom with company tours and job shadows. You can also serve as a classroom speaker or career fair representative, provide internships, or offer summer or part-time jobs. These activities give students the opportunity to establish business connections and engage in professional settings.
