Parent & Mentor Engagement

Students can use Career Cruising Network anywhere, which provides an opportunity for parents and mentors to be actively involved in a student’s career exploration experience.

Students (grades 6-12) and educators at over 50 schools in six counties participate in Career Cruising Network - click HERE to see the full list of CC Network schools.

Parents and mentors can be part of CC-Network in two ways:

  1. Support your student's career exploration using the resources available in the Career Cruising Parent Portal
  2.  Join Career Cruising Network by providing a Company Profile, serving as an on-line Career Coach, or offering Work-based Learning Activities.

The Parent Portal is a dashboard that allows you to keep in touch with your student’s education planning and career development.  Through this portal, you will be able to view your student’s plan, offer feedback on his or her plan, and actively participate in your student’s CC-Network experience.

To register for parent portal access, contact your student's school counselor to request an activation code, or ask your student to share their plan with you using the Share My Plan tool.

Volunteering for Career Cruising Network lets you support a program used by your student and their school.  By volunteering, you can contribute information about your company or employer, provide insight about your career and work history, and offer career exploration opportunities.

Other benefits include building the area workforce, bridging work skills gaps in our region, and leading students to a promising career pathway.
